Mother of America

Mother of America

A step, a breathless drop
The earth rushes forward
Suddenly, wings span wide
A moment from the water
The eagle glides free.
Talons extended
A majestic image of freedom.

The protector of the meek
The Mother of America.
Standing proud at peace or at war
Soaring above all others

From coast to coast
The eagles reach seems endless
When in danger

She wraps her wings around her children
Protecting America for another day.

When in peace, she soars the skys,
Ever watchful, ever protective, ever loving.
